2017 Agency Celebration

All of us at Safe Schools Mohawk Valley would like to thank all our supporters for their generosity of attending our agency celebration to announce our new name and participating in our getaway raffle!  “For the past 10 years, we have expanded services throughout Oneida County and feel the time is right to now change our name to better represent the diverse populations we serve throughout New York State,” said Anne Lansing, CEO.

We had a tremendously successful event!  We were able to raise over $10,000 and recognize our amazing partners who helped our agency to grow, expand and provide unique and quality services.  “These partners have provided invaluable support to help our organization be successful in our mission to keep kids in school and support their social and emotional well-being,” added Lansing.

Our Honorees included:

  • Community Partner Honoree: County Executive Anthony Picente. For over 15 years we have worked collaboratively with the County and its various departments on a number of initiatives to keep kids out of placement.

  • Education Partner Honoree: Utica City School District Superintendent Bruce Karam.  Since 1999 our partnership with the school district provides a variety of programs to keep kids engaged in school and therefore graduate high school.

  • Volunteer Partner Honoree: Dennis Padula & Sons Roofing & Sheet Metal.  The Padula family and business has been a tremendous and dedicated supporter of our Annual Build A Bike event in which we give away free rebuilt bicycles to area children.

We would also like to congratulate our raffle winners!
