These programs provide educational, preventative, and unique enrichment programming to kindergarten - 6th grade.  To participate please contact the manager above the students must be enrolled in the school building to attend.  The programs are FREE to all participants and run from 3pm-6pm Monday-Friday (when school is in session).  Enrollment is based on a first come, first served basis and space is limited.  We do not offer summer or school break programs at the above sites.


The Underground Café Teen Center

The center aspires to transform the experiences and perceptions of teens in Utica by creating venues for leadership, civic engagement and creative expression.  There is no cost!  The program has a variety of enrichment and recreational activities. It is open from 3-6pm after school on days school is in session.  There is a bus from Proctor to the Teen Center.  Transportation home from the program is not provided but we can offer bus tokens when needed and available.  The Underground Café is located at 500 Plant Street in Utica.  The program is open to all Proctor High School Students.

The Parkway Recreation Center

We began offering programs to students in the Utica City School District aged 13 and older at the center in January of 2018.  Program days and hours are limited but we are planning a full summer schedule starting in July.  The program is free!

JFK Middle School in Utica

Strough Middle School in Rome

The goal of the programs are to provide parents/guardians with a safe place to send their children after school. Students who participate in these Programs take part in classes that aim to increase self-esteem and help students learn important leadership skills. Students also participate in monthly service learning activities in the community. Students must be enrolled in the school building to attend.  Program hours are typically 2:00 - 5:00pm or when school ends for 3 hours.  All programs are FREE. 

The After School Programs can include the following types of activities:

  • Homework time and tutoring
  • Recreation - sports, interactive games, team building, physical skill building
  • Alcohol and Drug Prevention
  • Conflict Resolution
  • Leadership and Resiliency Skill Building
  • Clubs such as: dance, drama, music, art, science, etc.
  • We invite students and families to help us create fun and engaging programming
